                     HOFNER

              BLONDE SENATOR

                 CIRCA 1959

               EXC. CONDITION

A very nice archtop/jazzbox from the late 50's, blonde one's are sort of hard to find especially in this condition, the pickguard shows that a plug that at one stage was put there and remains today (remnants from a pickup?) but now it's purely acoustic, on the back on the guitar there are a couple of light stains which probably are from a strap that might have been left in the case many years ago, the top is multibound as well as the back, the neck is 3 piece, with a rosewood board and dot inlays, has the compensator tailpiece, original tuners, overall in great shape, the neck is the old style 'clubby' but this is to be expected from a guitar with no truss rod, a great old time sounding jazz machine...comes in a non original hard case

                   FENDER

           STRATOCASTER 1967

               BLACK (REFIN)

                  MAPLE CAP

This rather rare 1967 strat has been refinished into black, plus the big thing is the headstock has been cut down and a new logo applied and a extra string tree, the back of the neck has had a 'vintage old look style' refinish and it's been refretted with jumbo frets...the overall condition is good and it lays and sound well with it's original pots/pickups etc plus has the original wiring etc, whether this guitar has been assembled from parts is really unknown but it's all there now, definitely has the 'blackie' look to it, and if your chasing a 60's strat here's a great opportunity at not a lot of dollars, comes with it's original case

            MUSICMASTER 1959

                 DESERT SAND

       neck date in pencil 4/59

Here is a great opportunity to start your own vintage collection, rarely do 50's guitars come on the market nowadays and when they do there usually priced way beyond the reach of starting collectors who are just finding out about the vintage guitar market...strats and teles are in the high 40's nowadays and les pauls from the 50's are reaching for the sky, so now is the time to look at something like this as a great way to start...so here we have a Desert sand finished Musicmaster with a Maple fretboard from the late 50's, comes in it's original case as well and both the guitar and case are original, the frets and neck are in great shape, the finish has a few chips and dings as one would expect from a classic piece of this vintage, all electrics are original as well, has the single coil pickup which site through the aluminium pickguard, overall a nice way  to start your collection and priced to sell SOLD TO STEVE FROM NEW ZEALAND

          TELECASTER

              BIGSBY

               EXC+++

What can I say about this magnificent 1969 Telecaster with a factory Bigsby, it's a great collectors piece as well as a great player, overall shows minimal player wear, the white has faded to that beautiful yellow so often associated with the tele's of the late 60's, both the pickups/electrics have that classic tele bite and also show that mellow tone when the tone pot is backed off, the pickguard has some slight warping which is typical of the age, the neck and fretboard is in exc condition with very little player wear, overall an exceptional piece, case is original with this guitar and is in exc + condition as well...    1977 LES PAUL DELUXE

              EXC+++

This is a exceptionally nice goldtop with great resonance, with the mini humbuckers  and the maple 3 piece neck make this a desirable model to collect as well as play, overall shows very little player wear, the gold has almost no wear at all, a very nice example from gibson, recommended again for a collector, case is the moulded plastic gibson...              circa  late 60's

               serial 21881

   on fender crest style plate

This old acoustic has seen better days but now had had a light restoration, it comes with a original fender acoustic pickup (which in itself has to be worth 300 bucks...) which was not a standard fitting and has 5 tone/volume knobs all wired together, the top has been striped and has a new sound hole ring, some flexing of the top, pickguard is a replacement, neck is a 12 string with binding and block inlays, still playable but needs a setup, no case, as is, no complaints....it is what it is... SOLD TO NEIL FROM PERTH

STRATOCASTER 1973

SUNBURST

EXC cond.

Here we have a 1973 strat in sunburst, the body shows a few chips and dings around the edges plus on the back it has belt buckle wear, the neck date is 73 and it's a 3 bolter, the finish overall is in excellent condition showing a nice transition from the black thru red to the orange reminiscent of a late 60's body, the fretboard is in excellent condition and it has been refretted, 2 pots are dated 1970 whilst the volume pot is a 137 but date unknown, pickups are black bottom with no date markings, all other parts are original, there is a 3 ply pickguard with a few marks on it and the back trem cover has a few chips on it as well, overall a excellent player with a bright sound, these early 70's strats are now heading the same way as the 60's...up and up so if your wanting one with plenty of vibe and more than 30 years old here is your chance, comes with it's original case

                   PRECISION

         VINTAGE 1957 RE-ISSUE

             SERIAL V139288 (2002)

This is a great 1957 re-issue P bass, built 2002, super light, see thru blonde finish on ash with the ali pickguard, thumb rest, tone and volume switch, maple neck, skunk stripe, shows almost no player wear on the neck or the front, the back however has a few dings which are noticeable, I tried to photograph them, there quite visible but not when playing !!, over all plays very well, sound just like you would expect a great vintage re-issue to sound, this one you can play all night without getting a saw back, as I mentioned nice and light, comes with the vintage tweed case

      MUSTANG COMPETITION BASS

            LAKE PLACID BLUE

                     1969

Just in this magnificent collectable Mustang bass from 1969, this one was untouched and we were the first to have a look under the serial plate and take the neck off, it's in great condition with only a few dings around the edges but other than that it plays, and sounds just great, the frets show almost no player wear and the fretboard is nice and dark reminiscent of a brazilin board, the E tuner has a non original screw for the drive gear on the tuner but I'm sure you could source a original screw (or whole set of tuners) easy enough, one wear spot on the back of the neck where it was resting on a stand for much too long, comes with a aussie original case...

              L-12 1937

               X BRACING

         AND RARE ART DECO

                TAILPIECE

Here we have a 1937 archtop from Gibson, last of the X bracings and with the 17 inch body and also comes with the rarer art deco tailpiece, triple ply bound top, headstock and pickguard, (WBW) back is single bound, double parallelogram inlays, has the 7 piece diamond star shaped headstock inlays, GIBSON in script, rosewood fretboard in good condition and thin original frets still in exc condition, the sunburst finish is also in exc. original condition and the back of the guitar has the s quilting of the maple that makes it a very attractive looking guitar, overall the playing condition is excellent and it has a big sound typical of a 1930's archtop, these were made to cut through in those big bands of the time, if your looking for a beautiful archtop from Gibson and a great playing guitar we can highly recommend this one, at this price here in Australia you can barely buy basic new archtop from Gibson and this piece will make a great investment as well, comes with a black period case with the 'vintage' smell to it...
