JUST ARRIVED: Vintage Gibson J55 From 1974/5.
 
This is a very nice acoustic Gibson from the mid 70's. The J55 has the arched mahogany back, square shoulders and sides which are also in mahogany and the top is spruce.
Rosewood bridge and fretboard and dot inlays. the top shows a certain pattern when held a certain way which is in the spruce and looks interesting. The pickguard is the tortoise shell type and the binding on the sides and back which are also tortoise shell type do show quite a bit of wear and pitting.
Tuners are all original etc, and the fretboard and frets are still in very good condition.
Sound wise I think it's a great sounding vintage Gibson that you can hear in the video, mind you that guitar player is hopeless (me..!!) but you get the idea.
Case is original as well and in very average condition etc.
